YONDER DECK

The Yonder Deck is an alternative, dream-like way of experiencing your flight. It is the outcome of taking on the challenge to do an airplane interior without windows in the lower, cargo deck, as it flies empty 80% of the times on short-haul routes today. The answer to not having windows is called Artificial Horizon, a large screen that projects lights on the curved surface in front of it. The inspiration comes from the sky color gradient, which appears during sunrise and dawn and it extends throughout the interior, bringing the outside into the cabin. This abstract interpretation of windows also gives the passengers a sense of orientation during take-off, landing and while in the air.
